Hi, my name is Piotr Jarosz and I am an East London based bookbinder. I graduated from London College of Communication in 2015 with a degree in Book Arts & Design.
Since graduating I have been training as a professional bookbinder and box maker and collaborating with British and international artists. I spent two years as a Book Arts Workshop technician at London College of Communication running workshops for small groups of students and troubleshooting on day to day basis.
In 2017 and 2018 I was awarded with Ash Rare Award for Lettering and Harmatan Leather Award as a part of prestigious UK Designer Bookbinder Annual Competition having my winning books exhibited across the UK and Europe.
I MAKE BOOKS was started in 2018 as a project filling the gaps between artistry, craftsmanship, design and publishing. I specialise in producing high quality photography portfolios, print boxes and small edition art books. I also offer art direction focused on print design.
In 2020 I set up MADE EDITIONS - an art publishing house. My first book “Thoughts of Feelings” by a German artist Eric Schwarz has been longlisted in World Illustration Awards 2021 in Alternative Publishing category.
My studio is located in Bow (East London)
